Mar Y Tierra Reviews
We were on our way to Cvi.Che 105 and saw this little spot so we decided to give them a try. We were very happy with our choice. Not a fancy place but flavorful food and nice sized portions. The ceviche mixto was delicious- a great mix of calamari, fish, shrimp, etc . The chaufa portion was plentiful and yummy. The cancha were stale unfortunately because I love eating those at every Peruvian restaurant. But this place was a nice low key choice for our evening out .
Service was quick! Food was FANTASTIC. The place constantly has people coming in and out. The food is large in portion, definitely shareable!
From the outside the place doesn't quite show it's true colors and I probably walked by in 20 times during my first month in Miami without thinking to double look After looking up best Peruvian in the area and this making a list, I was shocked it was so close and I never noticed it! I would describe as a small hole is the wall, but I was extremely impressed with the food! Huge portions, you definitely get your moneys worth. We tried a little bit of everything, and I was pleased with it all. For sure a place I would drop in again for a delicious no frills meal
Holy humongous portions Batman!!! Wow this unassuming little restaurant packs a punch and a single dish will last you for days of leftovers! We ordered the parihuela and arroz con mariscos - both were delicious! less than $20 a plate, this meal left us very full and satisfied. It was PLENTY to share! We threw back a couple of Peruvian beers as well - they have Cusquena and Cristal. To satisfy the sweet tooth, ordered a maracuya cheesecake- it was light and smooth, but not very dense. Just the right ending for our scrumptious meal.
While I was visiting the Science frost we found this place on Yelp and it was good. Sis and mom shared the red snapper (approximately $40), we asked if they could make some kind of pico de gallo for it and the chef was nice enough to make for us. I had the Lomo saltado for $20 and the meat was nice and tender and good sauce. A little more on the pricier side that what I am used to but it is downtown area. They have the spicy green and red sauce that was very good as well. Fabiola was our waitress and she was very nice and made the pico de gallo happen, thank you for that! Will definitely come back when in the area.
